This June, the Church of the Nazarene will be holding its 27th General Convention in Orlando, Florida. As a part of this event, Children’s Ministries International will hold the NazKidz General Convention, a time for children to experience General Convention with activities designed to disciple and minister to children. As a part of the NazKidz General Convention, we will have several activities available for children to participate in.

• Kidz Blitz Live: Come join us for a time of fun, excitement, and learning as Kidz Blitz Live puts on an exciting, dynamic performance on Thursday, June 25th. Check out the Kidz Blitz website for more information, and the General Convention website to register .
• Discipleship-In-Action: Discipleship-In-Action (DNA) will focus on showing kids how their everyday lives can be used by God, how they can grow as Christ’s disciples, and how they can disciple others. The experience will be enhanced and reinforced as the crew from Speed Stacks engages kids with a powerful message, leads them through discipleship games, and teaches them the fundamentals of sports stacking. • Parade of Nations: The Parade of Nations will let kids experience the Church of the Nazarene around the world! Kids will learn about and experience, hands-on, the various cultures and practices that make up the Church of the Nazarene in the seven world regions. Click here to register.
• Compassion Connection: Compassion Connection will be a time for kids to minister to others through service projects. Several hands-on projects will be available on-site for kids. Kids will learn how they can help others in their communities and around the world. Preteen students, those who have completed the 5th and 6th grade, will have the opportunity to participate in an optional off -site project. Preteens will travel by bus to an area of Orlando to minister to the community. This is a chance for preteens to interact and serve others in a personal way. • NazKidz World Quiz: The NazKidz General Convention will conclude on Saturday, June 27, 2009, with our biggest event, World Quiz. Over 2,000 young Nazarene quizzers will come together to display the impact the Word of God has had on their hearts and lives. Go here for more information on how to register.
• KidzFirst Zone: Families with children ages three through the completion of kindergarten are invited to participate together in our KidzFirst Zone. During the morning sessions on Thursday and Friday, this room will be set up with specific stations to help your family discover some of the various things taking place during General Assembly. In addition to the NazKidz General Convention, Children’s Ministries International will be hosting other events for adults.

• Leadership Luncheon: All who serve in a children's ministries leadership position, or minister with children, are invited to attend this luncheon. This will be a networking "We're listening and sharing" time for global children's ministries. Click here to register.
• NCPA Friends and Family Gathering: Children’s pastors and their families are invited to attend an evening of fun at the SDMI General Convention! On Thursday, June 25th, join us for inflatables, fellowship, and networking following the evening worship gathering. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids along! • NIEA E3 Conference: Attention all educators! NIEA is hosting the 2009 E3 Conference on Wednesday, June 24th. E3 will provide networking opportunities, workshops, special speakers, and a luncheon. Join us for a time of fellowship and education. Visit the NIEA website for more information.
